Ella Rose & I don't take many pictures together, so I took one of nothingness...but I guess Ella Rose thought that was a stupid idea.

Us
We finally got our kitchen chairs...and Ella Rose got a BIG ole box to play in. Daddy played too.

Ella Rose & I don't take many pictures together, so I took one of nothingness...but I guess Ella Rose thought that was a stupid idea.

Half the chub, just as cute.
This baby just keeps getting cuter. She has slimmed down quiiiite a bit, but has maintained just enough chub to be dee-licious! She is pulling up and "cruising" all the time, so I know any day now I am going to come around the corner and there she'll be, toddling across the room. It's too soon. I'm not ready. I want her to stay lil bidy...even though I'll have another baby to take care of in just 5 short months.
Boo. I don't want Ella Rose to grow up, and I'm pretty sure her daddy shares that feeling.

Okay! I know. She really should be taking baths in the big girl tub by now, but she is just so cute (and easily accessible) in the kitchen sink. Bathing her in the regular tub is just like admitting that she's a big girl...and I just can't do it, so leave me alone.

Ella Rose is ONE.
I can't believe my baby is one.
When Ella Rose was a few weeks old, time. crept. by - because I had no idea what I was doing. By the time she was 3 months old, time was already moving way too fast. Every night when I would lay her down I begged her not to grow up...but then every morning when I went up to get her she was another day older. And now she is one year old.
I had no idea how much I would love this baby, and even still I'm amazed that God has given Jonathan and me such a wonderful, undeserved gift - Ella Rose. I will cherish every day that I have with her (and beg her never to leave me).

I miss Ella Rose when she's gone.
...and Jonnie too (don't get me wrong). But Ella Rose is needy. She needs me to take care of her all day long. Jonathan has taken her to Starkville for the last two days to give me a "break". He says it's a win/win/win situation. I get to hang out, sleep in, run errands solo, Jonathan gets to hunt and watch football, AND Nana gets to spend time with the babe (and take care of all of Ella Rose's dirty work, of course). They are coming home today around 3, so my me-time is almost over. But that's okay, I miss them when they are gone...and I have such a fantastic husband that I know we'll get to do this again soon. :)
